Stop FANUC Now: Rally Against FANUC's Complicity in the Genocide in Gaza
WHEN: Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at 4 pm
WHERE: FANUC Centerpoint Facility

Pontiac, MI — Pontiac and Metro Detroit community members will gather at 4 pm on Thursday,May 14th, to rally against FANUC's complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. This rally marks the second International Day of Action, the first of which was widely attended on February 12, 2026, in multiple Japanese cities, Germany, Ireland, and Rochester Hills here in Michigan.

Despite repeated public outcry, action, and requests for FANUC to divest itself from the military industrial complex, the company remains complicit in international war crimes. With locations spread across the state, the Centerpoint Facility in Pontiac seeks to grow its operations intandem with Williams International, a company that produces engines for defense contractors and is also complicit in the genocide in Gaza.

Both FANUC and Williams are seeking government assistance from Pontiac through tax abatements and permission to further corporatize the land. In Pontiac, everyday citizens continue to pay taxes, yet basic public necessities like salaries for K-12 educators and saferoads are sidelined by the local government, which invited FANUC representatives and Williams International CEO to take up space in its city council meeting on May 5, 2026, while local residents spoke in opposition.

The livestream recording can be viewed here.

Michigan workers who are seeing FANUC take more and more from the area while they profitoff of deadly, genocidal weapons deals are upset. Pontiac residents, who are constantly madefalse promises by large corporations that exploit them and then abandon them, such as GM,are upset and refuse to accept more tax breaks for multi-million dollar war profiteers.

FANUC, whose US headquarters is located in Michigan, continues to fuel Israel's genocide of Palestinians. Michigan communities are deeply concerned with FANUC 's complicity and uplift the demand that FANUC cut ties with Israel. FANUC is being asked to stop supplying its robots to Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems. Elbit Systems is a deadly corporation and a main producer of weapons for the state of Israel. Machines built in Michigan have no place making Elbit's bombs. Corporations in Michigan have no place receiving tax breaks whentheir tax revenue may be the only material benefit to the community they encroach on.

As always, we encourage journalistic investigations and local coverage into the FANUC facilities for an informed and empowered public as the campaign to end FANUC complicity in facilities for an informed and empowered public as the campaign to end FANUC complicity in genocide continues. As FANUC and Williams International continue their attempt at avoiding millions of dollars in local taxes in Pontiac, Pontiac City Council general meetings, special meetings, and public hearings will be particularly relevant.

Thank you for your attention and coverage of growing community concerns. We hope to see you at the rally.
