International Day of Action
On February 12, 2026, Engineers Against Apartheid (EAA), a collective of workers in the metro-Detroit area, protested in front of FANUC America in Rochester Hills, MI. The protest was endorsed organizations such as Palestinian Youth Movement, US Palestinian Community Network, Michigan Divest, JVP, and BDS Japan Bulletin, WSU SJP, and SAFE.
Approximately 30-40 protesters in Michigan joined the International Day of Solidarity action against FANUC, which spanned offices in the countries of Japan, Ireland and Germany.  Protesters focused on FANUC's sale of robotic arms to companies complicit in the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, carrying signs that read, "FANUC, Stop Arming Genocide", "Free Palestine", "Stop Supplying Elbit", "FANUC Kills Children", and "FANUC Profits From Genocide".
The international protests are a result of a recent report published by the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, "From the Economy of Occupation to the Economy of Genocide", where the FANUC Corporation is called out for being a key contributor to the ongoing genocide in Palestine.  Key companies such as Elbit Systems, Israeli Aerospace Industries, and Lockheed Martin are identified in the report as utilizing FANUC robots within their manufacturing facilities to build the 155mm artillery shells and F-35 components used against civilians in Gaza.
